Karhorn via ferrata
The Karhorn via ferrata is an experience of a special kind and makes "climbing hearts" beat faster. The fixed rope route consists of 2 parts, the east ridge and the west ridge.
A via ferrata set can be hired from the Alpine School Schröcken or the Alpine School Widderstein.
East Ridge
Difficulty level B - C
Ascent with the Steffisalp Express, hike about 45 minutes to the start of the via ferrata at the Wartherhorn Sattel, walking time on the via ferrata to the summit about 2.5 hours
this part is also suitable for families with children from about 10 years
West Ridge
From the summit of the Karhorn approx. 600m in difficulty level C-D
Walking time to the exit about 1,5 hours

Alpine School & Adventure Park Schröcken
Josef Staggl - Local mountain and ski guide. The adventure park Schröcken with 42 rope courses is only 2 km away from the house and is a great experience for the whole family! The Flying Fox Park Safari with 6 zipline lifts starts in Nesslegg and ends in Heimboden, 300 meters lower in altitude
Widderstein Alpine School
Christian Fritz - Together with his brother Mathias and father Gebhard they master all challenges on the mountain. Be it in the climbing garden, on mountain tours and via ferrata or ridge climbing.
